5 Step Chicken Cordon Bleu

2               Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breasts
1 Cup       Plain Bread Crumbs
3 Tbsp      Melted Butter
4 slices      Swiss Cheese
4 slices      White American Cheese
8 slices      Ham

1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

2. Slice your chicken breasts lengthwise (you will end up with four chicken breasts) and place them on a           baking dish (I used a cookie sheet lined with tin foil). Dust chicken with salt and pepper for taste.

3. Mix bread crumbs and melted butter.

4. Layer cheeses and ham on top of chicken. I placed my American cheese directly on to the chicken, then       two slices of ham, then my Swiss. Add bread crumbs on top of ham and cheese.

5. Place in the oven to bake for 40-45 minutes. PLEASE make sure  your chicken cooks all the way                 through!

And, like always, we'll check out the pricing!

My chicken was the most expensive part of this meal. It cost $5.28 for two HUGE chicken breasts.
The bread crumbs were $1.08 and I can use the remainder of them again.
The four slices of Swiss cheese cost $1.60 and the White American cheese was $1.02.
Just like in my breakfast pizza recipe, I bought the small package of ham. It cost $0.64.

So,

$5.28
$1.08
$1.60
$1.02
$0.64
$9.62

My hometown has a 5.7% tax on groceries, so there was $0.55 of tax bringing us to a grand total of $10.17 for this meal!
